Photography is a way of being closer. Photography was a natural consequence for me, a morbid observation of people. Something I’ve loved since childhood and still do. I’ve always been fascinated by moments of loneliness, helplessness and nakedness. Moments captured on film when a person is just being. Closeness is something we need – in times of alienation and individualism. Because working on a portrait or a landscape is nothing other than an encounter. Attentive listening and observing. What can we learn from each other, what are we capable of admitting? All this so that, going forward, we’ll be richer by this one true insight.
